Paul on Paul – 25th July 2021

Ephesians 4:1-6
When we are Baptimed we inherit the promises and duties of God – to act as Christ in all ways: as Priest in Faith; as Prophet to the World; and as King to Others. St Paul, however, reminds us on the duty to act as One in the Lord.

2 Corinthians 12:7-10
We are all too aware of our weaknesses and limitations – and it is normal to be more aware of our failures than our successes. The same is true of St. Paul – but he realises that it is only in recognising and accepting our weaknesses that we let God’s strength work in us.

Paul on Paul – 14th February 2021

1 Corinthians 10:31 – 11:1
It is never easy to act as a Christian in the fullest sense. We are tasked with being humble ans attentive to the needs of others – whomever they may be. That is a duty St. Paul takes up in this Sunday’s reading too.

Paul on Paul – 24th January 2021

1 Corinthians 7:29-31
This Sunday, specially devoted to the Word of God, we are encouraged to examine our relationship and understanding of the Bible. This Sunday’s 2nd reading provides a great opportunity to do just that.

Paul on Paul – 17th January 2021

1 Corinthians 6:13c-15a, 17-20
In this week’s Passage, Paul give a particulary warnign to the Corinthians about misuse of the Body they have been given. While it is not ‘evil’ it must be used properly. This is a lesson we can take to heart as well!

Paul on Paul – 15th November 2020

1 Thessalonians 5:1-6
There are times that, without warning, our lives can be upended – we know that this year more than most. St. Paul reminds us that we do not know God’s plan. By accepting that, we must do what we can – trust in him.
